Background Dr.Sunday Esosuakpo was born on the 17th October, 1967 and hails from Orhomuru-Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria. He had his Primary education in Ugono Primary School where he obtained Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1980. His Secondary Education started in Orhoerha Secondary School, Ugono-Orogun and later Emonu Comprehensive High School, Emonu-Orogun where he obtained West African Examinations Council (WAEC) in 1989. He attended Delta State University, Abraka, Nigeria and obtained Bachelor of Arts B.A (Ed) Ceramics, 1996, Master in Fine Art MFA Ceramics, 2005 and Ph.D. Studio Art (Ceramics), 2021. He is the Vice Chairman of the Society of Nigerian Artists, Delta State Chapter, member, Ceramic Association of Nigeria (ceRAN), member, Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). He taught Fine Art in Staff Model Secondary School in the defunct College of Education, Agbor for many years until he was deployed as a lecturer into the then Department of Fine and Applied Arts of the College where he rose to the rank of a Principal Lecturer before the upgrade of the College to a University (now University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria). He is the pioneer Acting Head, Department of Fine and Applied Arts, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Delta, Agbor, Delta State, Nigeria. He has attended a number of conferences and has a number of local, national and international publications to his credit. Being an Artist, he has a solo-exhibition and has participated in several group exhibitions.
